Panasonic All-In-One Rice Cooker

This smart rice cooker can slow cook, steam, reheat, keep warm, saut'e, sear, fry and even bake.

I love multi tasking appliances you need which can replace a lot of kitchen appliances, it makes life in the kitchen so easy and convenient. Not many people realise smart rice cookers can do a whole lot more than just cook rice perfectly, personally I use mine for all sorts of recipes that don't even include rice - Panasonics rice cooker has 16 auto menus giving you the option to cook a range of rice varieties, porridge, cake, pasta, dumplings and more all in the one appliance.

Whether you’re tight on counter space or simply want a handy kitchen appliance that can be used for several tasks, the Panasonic rice cooker is really a multi-cooker which can. Did I mention that it is so easy to clean? The rice cooker has a detachable lid and a non-stick interior coating, meaning no-fuss cleaning.

Below is one of my favourite recipes to make in the rice cooker, its an easy stay at home version of a popular take out classic everyone will love!

Sticky Orange Chicken made in the Panasonic 10-Cup Rice Cooker

Here is what you'll need:

Ingredients: serves 4

4 chicken breasts (cut into 1 inch cubes)

1 broccoli (cut into florets then steamed, or you can use green beans)

1 tablespoon sesame oil

600ml orange juice (mixed with 1 teaspoon corn flour)

120ml chicken stock

3 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoon mince garlic

1/2 tablespoon mince ginger

Zest of one orange

1/2 teaspoon pepper

1 teaspoon salt

Method:

Into the rice cooker, place in the sesame oil and cubed chicken. As the chicken begins cooking, add in the garlic, ginger and season with salt and pepper. Mix well.

Into a measuring jug add the chicken stock and corn flour and mix well, then add to the chicken. Now add the orange juice and the zest of 1 orange. Finally add the honey and stir everything well. Set the rice cooker to the 'white regular' setting and cook for 35 minutes. The sauce will thicken slightly, add the steamer basket to the rice cooker and steam broccoli or green beans for a further 5 minutes on the same 'white regular' setting.

Serve immediately and sprinkle with sesame seeds + enjoy!
